Long Beach City College’s 2024 Commencement Ceremony will take place in Veterans Memorial Stadium on Thursday, June 6, beginning at 4pm. That is where your degrees are actually conferred. But there’s more! LBCC’s Office of Student Equity is also proud to offer Cultural Graduation Celebrations as an opportunity to celebrate your triumph in a culturally affirming way. Here’s the schedule:

  • Native Cultural Graduation Celebration – Fri., May 10, 5-7pm, LAC, W-201
  • Lavender Grad Celebration (Pride) – Fri., May 17, 5-7pm, LAC, W-201
  • APID Grad Celebration (Asian Pacific Islander Desi) – Sat., May 18, 9:30-11:30am, LAC, R Gym Hall of Champions
  • Black Grad Celebration (Black/African American) – Sat., May 18, 1-3pm, LAC, R Gym Hall of Champions
  • RAÍCES Grad Celebration (Latina/o/x) – Sat., May 18, 4:30-6:30pm, LAC, R Gym Hall of Champions
