Request CMS Access or Update Page Ownership

Once CMS access is granted, contributors are responsible for maintaining the pages assigned to them.  To stay current, are expected to attend CMS training sessions or review the training materials if a session is missed.

CMS training is offered twice a year, with drop-in support sessions typically held one to two weeks before each semester.

Web Team & Content Ownership

Each department or area with webpages on lbcc.edu is responsible for identifying who manages and maintains its web content. Content owners and their designated web teams are accountable for the pages they oversee. Web teams must be designated and approved by the appropriate Dean or Vice President.

This responsibility includes:

  • Updating assigned page content using the CMS
  • Ensuring pages are reviewed regularly and that all content is accurate, relevant, current, and aligned with web content management guidelines.
  • Coordinating with the Web Coordinator to ensure content ownership information and web team details are current

Once CMS access is granted, contributors (web team) update the pages they are responsible for and are expexted to attend CMS training sessions or review the training materials if a session is missed.

Why This Matters

Keeping web team and ownership information current supports accountability, collaboration, and future website updates and migrations.
