PATHWAY OPTION 1 |

Liberal Arts Math |
If you are planning to major in subjects like Psychology, History, Art, Ethnic Studies, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Health Education, Journalism, Child Development, or other non-STEM fields, this is the path for you.
My high school GPA was 3.0 or higher: Recommendation: You are prepared to take transfer-level math or statistics without support (Math 28, 40, 45, or Stat C1000). If you wish to complete these courses with additional support in the form of more time during class to include a review of the directly related topics from the previous course, consider enrolling in Math 28S, 40S, 45S, or Stat C1000E.
My high school GPA was below 3.0: Recommendation: To increase success in your math/stat class, you are advised to a take transfer-level math or statistics course WITH support (Math 28S, 40S, 45S, or Stat C1000E). These courses contain additional support in the form of more time during class to include a review of the directly related topics from the previous course. You are also welcome to take the equivalent non-support course: Math 28, 40, 45, or Stat C1000. |
PATHWAY OPTION 2 |

Business Math |
If you are planning to major in business fields such as business administration, economics, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, or other related fields, this path is for you.
Recommendation: Regardless of your High School GPA or last completed class, you may enroll in Math 37 and Math 47. You will likely also need to complete Stat C1000 or Stat C1000E depending on your transfer institution. |
PATHWAY OPTION 3 |

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) |
If you are planning to major in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or other technical fields, this is the path for you.
The highest-level math class I passed with a C- or higher in the second semester is Precalculus or a full Trig class: Recommendation: You are prepared to take Math 60.
The highest-level math class I passed with a C- or higher in the second semester is Algebra 2 or Integrated Math III: Recommendation: You are prepared to take Math 50.
The highest-level math class I passed with a C- or higher in the second semester is Geometry, Integrated Math II, Integrated Math I, Algebra 1, or below: Recommendation: You are prepared to take Math 40S. |
