Profile

Eric Berg is a Long Beach resident of over 13 years. His family is rooted in the community with his wife, Dina, as Director of a Long Beach based non-profit and adjunct faculty member at CSULB and his daughter, Kenna, is currently in the fifth grade at Carver Elementary, a Girl Scout and enthusiastic AYSO soccer player.

Professionally, Eric has spent the last 25 years in management within the commercial construction industry. First as the owner of a specialty contracting company and for the last 16 years, as Sr. Vice President of a large national Design Build firm. Gray Construction is a 56 year old pioneer in Design- Build, specializing in construction management, engineering and architecture. Gray performs in most of the 50 states including HI, with annual revenues in excess of $1B.   After a decade serving as Vice President of the Retail / Commercial Construction Market, Eric assumed responsibilities as leader of Construction Operations for the Western US. His duties include resource acquisition and allocation (talent), project acquisition, pre-construction services, risk management and customer retention. Eric has budget oversight of construction operations within the core markets of Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Private Education.

Outside of work, Eric is involved in two Long Beach based non-profits, The Heart of Ida and Team 100. Eric volunteers for and serves as the Treasurer of the Board for The Heart of Ida (HOI).  HOI is a Long Beach based non-profit that serves Older Adults with a mission of keeping them safe in their homes and independent as long as possible.  HOI serves the Long Beach community with many free programs including home safety and repair, fall prevention and education, Tai Chi, reading, senior socialization, technology groups and Holiday Hearts.

Eric is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and the Court of Master Sommeliers. In his spare time, Eric enjoys time with his family and friends, coaching soccer, fly fishing and the outdoors.
