Student Highlights

Long Beach City College held its 1st Annual Foreign Film Festival where it showcased four feature films: Desierto, Intouchables, Terraferma, and The Wind Rises.

DESIERTO (Mexico, 2016) 
Starring: Gael García Bernal, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Alondra Hidalgo

A group of people trying to cross the border from Mexico into the United States encounter a man who has taken border patrol duties into his own racist hands.

Starring:  François Cluzet, Omar Sy, Anne Le Ny 

A true story of two men who should never have met – a quadriplegic aristocrat who was injured in a paragliding accident and a young man from the projects.

A tight-knit family living on the island of Linosa south of Sicily find their ties stretched to the limit when a group of illegal immigrants from Africa appears in their community.
