Virtual workshops & campus events are open to LBCC students, staff & faculty!
Registration is required for all virtual workshops. Scan QR codes from Domestic Violence Awareness Month Event Flyer or use ZOOM links below to register. Certificate of Participation available to attendees after each workshop. Digital Abuse & Safety Workshops Series is a collaborative project between LBCC, Cerritos, and Rio Hondo Colleges.

Clothesline Project (during Wellness Fest @ PCC)

Clothesline Project is a display of T-shirts created by survivors of sexual violence or created in honor of someone who has experienced violence. Create a T-shirt in support of survivors.

Digital Abuse & Safety Presentation Part 1: Cyberstalking

Digital Abuse & Safety Presentation Part 2: Image-Based Abuse
Day/Time: Wednesday, October 12, 2022, 5:00 p.m. — 6:00 p.m.

In this presentation, participants will demystify image-based abuse, revenge porn, and nonconsensual porn (e.g. unwanted nudes or cyber flashing). This session will address victim-blaming, safe-texting, and online dating tips (i.e. laying ground rules, responding to image-based abuse, restraining orders, etc.). In a digital and social media world, this session will provide important information for everyone. Collaborative Project between Cerritos, Rio Hondo and LBCC.

What role does technology play in perpetuating abuse? In this presentation, we will demystify online trauma by addressing how it is different from offline trauma. There will be a skill building portion covering tech-enabled trauma response, overcoming challenges, and ways to support others.
