Dr. Mary Lee Vance will provide a brief history of the intersection of racism and ableism that ultimately led to the Disability Rights Movement. She will share personal stories of her background, address the significance of Identity v People First Language, inspiration porn Universal Design and other topics that influence how individuals identify with disability and diversity.
