Campus Parking

LBCC LAC parking lot M

The primary responsibility of the Parking Services staff at Long Beach City College is to ensure that students, staff, and the surrounding community have safe and convenient access to an inviting learning environment.

Our team of Parking Services Technicians is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of parking lots throughout the District. This includes resurfacing, proper paint markings, signage, access to state-of-the-art parking permit machines, and coordination of special events on campus.

Our Student Assistant Program employs several student assistants each semester. Their presence on campus offers guests a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact. In addition to assisting visitors, they also help enforce parking regulations.

Parking Regulations & Citations

These rules are enforced to protect the rights of permit holders and to ensure the safety of all individuals and property on campus.

  • Parking Permits Required: A valid parking permit is required at all times to park in any lot at both the LAC and TTC campuses.
  • First-Come, First-Served: Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Possession of a valid permit does not guarantee a space in your preferred lot.
  • Semester digital parking permits are available for students through the Viking Portal.
  • Permit Restrictions: Student permit and daily permit do not authorize parking in staff stalls, metered spaces, or other reserved parking areas, unless otherwise posted.
  • Digital Parking Permits: Students can purchase semester parking permits through the Viking Portal.
  • All permits are fully digital and linked to your vehicle’s license plate. No physical permit is required.
  • One Permit Per Vehicle: Digital parking permits are valid for one vehicle only. A separate permit must be purchased for each additional vehicle.
  • Important: When entering your license plate number, use uppercase letters and omit any spaces or special characters between letters and numbers.

  • Overnight parking is not permitted between the hours of 11:30 PM and 5:00 AM.
  • The LBCC Parking Services Department issues citations to all vehicles, motorcycles, and mopeds that do not display a valid and properly placed parking permit. Students parked in staff or other specially designated areas are also subject to citation.
  • After 4 PM at LAC: Students with a valid student permit may park in staff stalls located in Lots G, H, I, and M. In all other lots, a staff permit is required at all times.
At TTC: A staff permit is required at all times when parking in staff stalls.
  • Stalls may be reserved for special event parking at the discretion of the Parking Services Department.
  • Parking regulations may vary by lot. It is the driver’s responsibility to read and follow the posted regulations at each parking lot entrance.
  • No adjustments will be made to parking citations issued by the Long Beach Police Department, Campus Section. Individuals who wish to contest a citation must follow the instructions provided on the back of the citation. For more information or to file an appeal, please visit LongBeach.Gov/Parking/Citations for any appeals.
  • Off-Campus Parking: Parking in surrounding residential areas is allowed by a City-issued permit only. Student vehicles parked in these neighborhoods without a valid permit may be cited, towed, and impounded by the City at the student’s expense.
