About the school of Trade & Industrial Technology
Prepare for the highly skilled technical jobs of today and tomorrow. The Trades & Industrial Technology Department offers state-of-the-art courses with hands-on training for students seeking to enter technical fields, as well as professionals seeking to retrain or upgrade their skills. Areas of study include advanced transportation technology with separate specializations in alternative fuels and electric vehicles, architectural design, drafting with separate programs for architecture and mechanical design, technology training in either electrical or metal fabrication, and horticulture. The College offers Associate of Science degrees for students planning to transfer to four-year institutions and professional certifications for those entering the workforce or advancing their careers. All programs are aligned with growing occupations in Southern California.
