Pride Month Kickoff Event

Join us as we kick off Pride Month with music, food, resource fair, gender affirming haircuts/makeup, and free HIV testing.

How to be a Good Ally

Date/Time: Thursday, June 1, 3:00PM - 4:00PM
In-Person Location: T-1200, Liberal Arts Campus

This program dives deeper into ways you can show up as an ally, not only during social justice movements but also in everyday life. Participants will take a hard look at how they currently show up in these spaces and how they can do better (with the right tools). Eboné will share ineffective vs. effective ways of ally activism. Participants will also look at breaking through uncomfortability and standing in their purpose.

Born This Way

A highly anticipated first look at the 12 min short film, “Born This Way”, directed by Tatiana Navarrette; starring Mattie Westbrouck, Olivia Kale and Doyle Smiens.

This LGBTQIA+ event is jam-packed! We aim to celebrate diversity, love, and acceptance, in hopes it will leave you feeling inspired and empowered. Dress your best, see you there! 

$15 per peson. First 15 to RSVP will get free ticket and transportation.

Join LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty for a Meet Your Village Mixer. There will be casual guided conversation, activities, and refreshments to build community and network with one another.


Skating at Pigeon’s Roller Rink

Outdoor Film Screening and Ballroom Competition

Date/Time: Monday, June 26, 7:00PM – 10:00PM
In-Person Location: Nordic Lounge & E Quad

Ballroom competition followed by a screening of Paris is Burning. Ballroom categories:

  • Glam - Prepare to captivate the audience with opulence and extravagance of our Glam category. Showcase their most exquisite attire, sparkling accessories, and fierce poses that radiate pure joy and excellence! 
  • Butch/Femme - How do you embody masculine power and fashion?  Show up exuding rugged charm, shy chic, dapper boi, fresh to death or whatever butch or femme means to you.    
  • Face - It’s all about the LOOK, makeup, and expressions that can speak volumes. Go flawless or funky, it doesn’t matter just leave the audience in awe! 
  • Retro – Bring the fashion, hairstyles, and dance styles of yesteryears to life, capturing the essence and allure of bygone eras. We’re thinking zoot suits, hip huggers, tracksuits, candy raver necklaces. Let’s go back in time, to any time! 
  • Summertime Pride – Let the warmth of summer and the vibrant colors of LGBTQ+ pride fill the air as our Summertime Pride category ignites the stage. Be prepared to immerse yourself in a celebration of diversity, with participants flaunting their most vibrant, beach-inspired, and festival-ready looks that radiate pure joy and inclusivity. Get ready to soak up the sun and the spirit of pride!

Join us for a free evening of Bingo and prizes, as we celebrate Pride Month. Hosted by Local Drag Queen Torta Jugosa and our very own Superintendent/President Dr. Mike Munoz.
