W.A.G.E. – LBCC’s Commission on the Status of Women and Gender Equity

Mission:

The mission of W.A.G.E. is to ensure that the College acknowledges existing patriarchal systems, and their impact on community while addressing inequalities and creating a culture that is supportive and safe for everyone at LBCC.

Goals:
  • Raise awareness and acknowledge the existence and long-standing impacts of systematic misogyny
  • Listen to experiences of sexism, inequality, or harm of community members, as it relates to their gender identity or expression
  • Convene stakeholders to evaluate the climate survey and listening process feedback to shape policy, budgetary. and programmatic reform
  • Present an action plan, including short-term, medium, and long-range goals for district implementation
