Florence Study Abroad – Spring 2026
Interested in studying abroad? Learn about LBCC’s Spring 2026 Study Abroad Program in Florence, Italy. Students will enroll in Art 2: Art and Civilization (3 units, 12 weeks, asynchronous online) and travel to Florence during Spring Break, Apr. 5–12, 2026.

Filipino American Heritage Karaoke Night – Tues., Oct. 28
Warm up your vocal cords and join the Social Justice Intercultural Center for our Karaoke/Open Mic Night! The Karaoke/Open Mic series is designed to share space in a celebratory way to elevate the voices of and highlight the talent in our campus community. This event will be held from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM in LAC B206 at the Social Justice Intercultural Center (SJIC).

Meet your Village – Halo Halo Mixer – Tues., Oct. 21
Meet Filipina/o/x identifying students, staff, faculty, and administrators at LBCC while enjoying delicious halo halo and building community. The Meet Your Village workshop series is designed to provide the campus community with opportunities to connect with peers, staff, faculty, and administrators who share their identities—reminding you that you have a village that is proud of you, supports you, and is here for you. Filipino American History Month Kick Off – Thurs., Oct. 16
The Kick-Off event will take place from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the TTC – EE Quad. It is designed to open the month’s festivities and activities by bringing the campus community together in a celebratory fashion to enjoy food, music, entertainment, and curated resources.
Voices of Rock – Sun., Oct. 12
The Long Beach City College Performing Arts Department and Associated Student Body present Voices of Rock, a choral rock concert on Sun., Oct. 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Bob & Barbara Ellis Auditorium (Building J) at the Liberal Arts Campus. The program will feature the Viking Singers and Viking Chorale, directed by Skye Angulo, with Ronin Del Castillo as piano collaborative artist, joined by a guest rock band.

Star Montana Exhibition – Sept. 25–Oct. 25
Latinx Heritage Month
The LBCC Art Gallery will host Star Montana: By The River, I May Destroy You from Thurs., Sept. 25, through Sat., Oct. 25, in K100 at the Liberal Arts Campus. The exhibition features the work of Los Angeles-based artist and photographer Star Montana, whose practice focuses on intergenerational and familial history within the greater Los Angeles community.
An opening reception will be held on Thurs., Sept. 25, from 5–7 p.m., and an artist talk with closing reception on Sat., Oct. 25, from 1–3 p.m.

Inherit the Wind Takes to Auditorium Stage Oct. 2 – 5
Long Beach City College’s Associated Student Body (ASB) and Performing Arts Department proudly present Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, directed by Anthony Carreiro. The production will open on Oct. 2, and run through Oct. 5, with five performances scheduled: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.
