***** Disbursement Update *****

We are preparing to begin distributing financial aid checks on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Please carefully review the instructions below to help ensure a smooth and timely pick-up process and avoid further delays.

What to Bring
  • A valid government-issued photo ID or your LBCC Student ID.
  • We recommend bringing both, if available, to help facilitate identification.
Pick-Up Hours and Location

Monday October 12th starting at 8:30 AM.-: 6:45 PM

  • (Last Names beginning with A-L) will be distributed at the Cashiers Office (LAC, Building A)
  • (Last Names M-Z) will be distributed at the Financial Aid Office (LAC, Building A)

Tuesday, October 13th to Wednesday, October 14th (LAC) 8:30 AM -5:00 PM

  • All students (A-Z) last names at the Cashiers Office (LAC, Building A)

Students will have until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14th to pick up their check-in-person. After this date, any remaining checks will be mailed to the students address on file.

Your financial aid check will be mailed through the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) over the weekend. Checks are sent via standard mail, and delivery is expected within the next few business days, depending on USPS processing times.

Important Holiday Reminder:

Monday, October 12th , is a federal holiday (Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day). USPS will not provide regular mail delivery that day. Normal mail service will resume on Tuesday, October 13th .

Please allow additional time for delivery due to the holiday.

Virtual Chat Hours

Our Virtual Chat feature for the Financial Aid Office will be available Monday – Thursday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. In office hours will remain Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

LBCC will be implementing Course Program of Study (CPOS) regulations beginning with Fall 2026 registration. Several major changes will be implemented on July 1, 2026 due to the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) on July 4th, 2025. These updates include changes to the Federal Student Loan Program and the Pell Grant Program. To learn more, please continue to read here.
