***** Disbursement Update *****

We know many students rely on financial aid for essential expenses, and we are working to move your funds forward as quickly and securely as possible.

Until further notice, LBCC is moving forward with issuing affected financial aid disbursements by paper check.

Please log into your Viking Student System > To Do List and complete “Confirm Financial Aid (FA) Check Delivery” by Wednesday, October 7 at 11:59 p.m.

You will be asked to:

  • Confirm your mailing address
  • Let us know if you prefer to pick up your check at the Liberal Arts Campus (LAC), when available, instead of having it mailed to you.

If you do not make a selection, your check will be mailed to the current address on file.

Our goal is to have checks begin mailing later this week. We will notify students as soon as we can confirm when checks are being issued and when pickup will be available. Timing may change due to unforeseen processing or mailing delays.

Virtual Chat Hours

Our Virtual Chat feature for the Financial Aid Office will be available Monday – Thursday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. In office hours will remain Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

LBCC will be implementing Course Program of Study (CPOS) regulations beginning with Fall 2026 registration. To learn more about these regulations and how they will affect your financial aid eligibility, please visit our CPOS webpage and review our FAQs. More information to come as we approach Fall 2026 registration.

Several major changes will be implemented on July 1, 2026 due to the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) on July 4th, 2025. These updates include changes to the Federal Student Loan Program and the Pell Grant Program. To learn more, please continue to read here.
