Emergency Notifications

Overview

Emergency Notifications

In the event of an emergency, LBCC will provide accurate and timely information regarding campus safety issues directly to students, and employees.

Students

Long Beach City College is expanding its messaging capabilities to include text messages in addition to email and voice messages to share important information with students, especially during emergency situations.

To receive text messages, students must enter a ‘mobile’ number by logging into their Viking Student Service account.

Text messages will be directed to the number entered into the ‘Mobile’ field; telephone calls will be directed to the number marked as the ‘Preferred’ number.  The same number can be used for both.

LBCC will continue to use email as the primary means of communication with students so please ensure that your email address is entered correctly.
