Our mission is to contribute to the success of all Long Beach City College students by providing quality learning assistance. We believe a student’s success begins with access to resources and academic support and it is our goal to help students to reach their full potential.

The Multidisciplinary Success Centers strive to contribute to the success of all Long Beach City College students by providing quality learning assistance. Basically, we aim to help students succeed, and our services are free!

The LBCC Math Success Center is specifically designed to support student success and achievement in the area of math by providing Supplemental Learning Activities and tutoring to students of all levels at no cost.

Basic Skills Improvement

We provide service to students who choose to strengthen their foundational skills in mathematics, reading, writing and grammar. The faculty and staff can help you progress from your current skill level to the college level.

Research in education has shown that students who participate in basic skills development are more successful in their college level classes. LBCC’s college research department has found that students who enroll in BAE 601B are more successful in their later English 105, Math 110, and Reading 883 courses than students who do not attend.

Academic Computing Centers

The Academic Computing Centers are available on both campuses and free for all LBCC students! 

Our computers are installed with all the necessary software to meet your academic needs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more! Be sure to bring your student ID or printout of class schedule to sign in.
